DESCRIPTION

Decypher is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist(s) (CRNA) to support Mike O' Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC), 99th Medical Inpatient Treatment Facility, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Education:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing
  • Graduate of a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA)

Licensure:

  • Permanent, full, and unrestricted RN license and CRNA license
  • Valid license to practice in any U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory

Board Certification:

  • Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)

Certifications:

  • Must maintain current certifications in:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS must follow American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of active CRNA practice within the last six months
  • Experience must include General Anesthesia and Obstetric (Neuraxial) Anesthesia
  • Background in Intensive Care Nursing
  • Proficient in full-spectrum anesthesia care: General, Regional, Neuraxial, and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
  • Experience with adult, pediatric, obstetric, and geriatric populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage patient anesthesia care without physician supervision
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments, obtain informed consent, and order necessary diagnostics and medications
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans
  • Perform immediate pre-induction assessments, reviewing medical records and evaluating patient status
  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patient responses throughout surgical procedures
  • Maintain physiologic homeostasis and manage abnormal reactions
  • Collect and interpret physiological data using noninvasive monitoring techniques
  • Manage airway and pulmonary status during procedures
  • Oversee patient emergence and recovery from anesthesia, including pain management and complication prevention
  • Administer medications, fluids, and ventilator support as needed
  • Document all anesthesia-related events, including drug dosages, fluid administration, and patient responses
  • Record post-anesthetic visits and note any anesthesia-related complications.
