Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

· Degree: Bachelor's Degree

· Education: Bachelor’s in Music Therapy; Master’s Degree preferred.

· Certification: Current certification as a Music Therapist – Board Certified (MT-BC).

· Experience: 3 years of experience as a Music Therapist after graduation. Experience in TBI rehabilitation and/or experience in DoD or VA healthcare systems preferred.

· Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a music therapist as required in the TO.

Core Duties:

· Develop treatment plans designed to restore, remediate and rehabilitate a person’s level of functioning and independence in life activities, to promote health and wellness as well as reduce or eliminate activity limitations and restrictions to participation in life situations caused by an illness or disabling condition.

· Demonstrated skill with a variety of musical instruments including keyboard, string instruments, woodwind instruments, and percussion instruments.

· Develop and implement individual music therapy programs and interventions based on assessment results; measure outcomes of said programs and interventions.

· Teach, coach, and support as required.

· Work with multidisciplinary treatment teams to evaluate and review the care provided to patients.

· Participates in and supports, as required, Intrepid Network clinical care, research, and programs, initiatives, opportunities, and working groups

· Provide individual consultation to patients as requested.

· Develop presentations to staff on music therapy
