DESCRIPTION

Decypher is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to support Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates, calibrates, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes specialized equipment to evaluate cardiopulmonary functions and cardiopulmonary physiology
  • Performs pulmonary function test to include but not limited to spirometry, oxygen dilution, and lung volumes
  • Under orders of a physician, administers respiratory care to include but not limited to oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilator management, and preparation and administration of respiratory medications
  • Assists critical care physicians with invasive procedures to include but not limited to: intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, arterial placement, and thoracentesis
  • Draws and analyzes arterial blood gas samples
  • Determines disposable supply inventory level; stocks accordingly, restock excess supplies, and report to replenishment requirements to department’s supply custodian
  • Attend/conduct meetings and training regarding respiratory therapy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist
  • 1-year experience performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to care for and treat pulmonary laboratory patients.
  • Must be available to work days and nights
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • US Citizen
  • NACI background check
